Discover| Bemis Park

Tree-lined streets perfectly situated north of Cuming Street in the Midtown area make up the Bemis Park Heritage District.

Not even the Easter Sunday tornado of 1913 could stop this historic neighborhood from coming back stronger. With a Pacific Northwest feel, take a drive within the neighborhood and admire the the Victorian-esque homes.

Walk along the trees as you take in historic houses and the stories each one has told. Restored to their former elegance, it’s not hard to see why Omaha designated this area as landmark.

Originally featuring a lagoon present in old postcards, that has been replaced by a park with a walking trails, tennis courts, and a playground.

Omaha is filled with such quality neighborhoods. It’s our duty to discover them and to continue to tell their story for others to enjoy.
